Simon has over 25 years’ experience in the commodities business. Simon previously sat on the Management Board of Trafigura, taking responsibility for the Group’s global Metals & Minerals business. Simon is now a tech entrepreneur and CEO of TradeCloud. Using his commodity and tech experience, Simon is well placed to advise the team on key business decisions.
Manoli Yannaghas
Founder/ Managing Director
Manoli has spent 20 years managing operating mines and mineral exploration projects in Africa and South America. He has also acted as CEO of a publicly listed mining company, as well as founding a number of small fast-growth technology companies operating in the mining, energy and renewables space.
Malcolm Evans
Founder/ Technical Director

Malcom has over 40 years experience designing and building High Voltage Electrical Grids. He spent over 20 years with the British Coal Board, including as Head of Major Projects responsible for construction and upgrading of deep mine power systems. Malcolm has participated in the design and installation of more than 2GW of multi-technology renewable generation. Malcolm specialises in distributed power generation.
Jan Ydens
COO
Jan has over 25 years’ experience executing and leading on the commercial, product, technical and operations side for technology and energy start-ups, scale-ups and large corporates (including 13 years at ABB). He has most recently served at C-Level (CPO, CRO, COO) for technology scale-ups in the energy sustainability and blockchain arenas, helping these businesses set up and build out their sales, product and operations areas and prepare for scaling.
JANSEN VAN RENSBURG

Jansen Van Rensburg is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with a BSc degree in computer science. He has more than 35 years’ electrical experience and 10 years experience in ICT, including operating MV electrical networks and ICT systems at large mining companies, from Goldfields to Endeavour Mining. He has built and operated power control systems, with a track record of identifying and implementing electrical cost savings.

Chris is an experienced FD / CFO with a strong record of successfully managing high growth, new structures and emerging commercial relationships across a range of industries. Chris is particularly strong at managing the finances/ cashflows of young growth companies.
EDWARD HASLAM

Edward’s is an experienced mining executive who began his career as a qualified metallurgical engineer and retired as CEO of a FTSE 100 Mining Company. Edward also held the roles of Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director at Centamin, Non-Executive Director (and Chairman from June 2007 to April 2012) of the LSE listed Talvivaara plc, Non-Executive Director of Furuya Metals Co. Ltd. Japan and Non-Executive director of Aquarius Platinum Ltd. Edward is also a Fellow of the Institute of Directors (UK).

James Bonham

James has a degree in Artificial Intelligence and Mobile Robotics. He has spent 15 years working at the forefront of the computer science industry. He is also highly skilled with working on micro electronics hardware both designing and maintaining equipment for the electronics industry.
Gary Nicholson

Gary Nicholson is a leading Electrical Control and Instrumentation specialist in system integration, including design implementation; commissioning and KPI analyses for processes stabilisation. He has more than 25 years’ experience working on sophisticated processing plants and has played a major role in Business Improvement. Previous experience include with Anglogold Ashanti, Randgold, Barrick and Altynalmus.

Gert has a NHD in Electricity and has16 years’ experience on Electrical Systems including MV electrical networks and 28 years’ experience in instrumentation, control and project management at a variety of Mining Companies and Factories. Gert specialises in construction and implementation of electrical systems.
German Sternharz

German has a BSc and MSc in Aerospace Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. He is a PhD graduate from Brunel University London. At TU Berlin he researched structural dynamics in an industrial setting, where he contributed to software development and dynamic FEM simulations for mechanical stress analysis at Rolls-Royce Deutschland. During his PhD research, German led numerous computational and mechanical experiments on rotating machinery. He developed novel algorithms for operational modal analysis and AI-based condition monitoring, which gained recognition by publications at renowned conferences and journals.

Richard mattinson

Richard joined the VoltVision team after a successful career as a logistic specialist. Having completed an intensive retraining course to pursue his interest in software engineering, Richard now has two years of experience as a software developer. Richard has expertise in a range of languages including JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3, and is currently working on our customer facing products, including our latest Advanced Analytics and corporate dashboarding.
ROBERT MCINTYRE

Robert has a BSC and MSC in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. Projects at university included work in facial recognition and image/object recognition with the use of machine learning. With two years of experience, Robert has expertise in many programming languages that include Python, C/C++, C#, HTML , JavaScript CSS. Current work includes web development and dashboard production.
